Have you ever wondered what to do with your closet full of unused Indian clothes? Well, we at Ahaana would like to share with you about an environmentally sound initiative that has been gaining popularity since 2019 when we first started accepting donations. Repurpose clothing and fabrics and save the environment!

100% of net proceeds supports women-at-risk and refugees.

Ahaana’s The Renascence Project

Re-Create & Re-Fabricate

New and Preloved Indian clothing are sorted by dedicated volunteers for distribution to these projects:

The Project Shop

Pop-ups and community events in San Diego and around SoCal. This project coincides with South Asian festivals and details are announced via social media and emails. #ShoptoSupport

Project Freedom

Clothes shipped to India, for distribution to women’s shelters, orphanages and impoverished villages. In US, women's clothing donated to give away as incentive for refugee women to participate in health and resettlement.

Project Rainbow

Donated saris and dupattas are shipped widows in India who refabricate into bags, home décor, etc. for sale. This is their livelihood. Ahaana also repurchases the products to sell at our fundraisers. Full circle!

We are doing our part... please do yours! Donate your new, gently preloved Saris, Salwar Suits, Kurtis, Kids and Men's clothes. Clean out your closet and help with not dumping in the landfill.

Please drop us an email to Info@Ahaana.org and we will advise you of the next donation drive.

Thank you for helping to save the environment.
